My response :

Being human means to me, a form of a reminder of identity, unity to all humans. In the end of the day we are collectively united because of that fact. What separates us, is one another features, we all are humans but different on our own. As well it reminds me we are above all, either negatively we dominate and may hurt the ones/things below us. The definition of humanity stated in the article, “What does it mean to be human?”, is “ If ‘human’ means ‘my own natural kind,’ then referring to a being as human boils down to the assertion that the other is a member of the natural kind that the speaker believes herself to be.” Highlighting that the word human will be replaced with “my own natural kind” so whatever spectrum you fall in being human you are acknowledged. The text, highly argues the fact that humans can't be simply described scientifically since there's divisions of various types within it. My perspective differs from that idea since I do believe being human can be simply described as the mammal that is above all, the ones who affect nature highly, and how the world functions because of us, we just evolved.
